Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking an experienced trainer to design, develop, and deliver access-related training across ambulatory services. You will ensure consistent, high-quality execution of patient access initiatives and re-train teams when scheduling workflows change.

The role supports CM Consultants, CM Analysts, and specialty leaders, developing materials aligned with Epic scheduling and MiChart reporting. Hybrid work arrangements are available as per department policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 5-8 years of related experience with developing training programs and/or learning materials.
• Experienced with healthcare practice operations and EHR scheduling workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate teamwork to support day-to-day operations.
• Expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must facilitation meetings and conflict resolution.
• Strong IT skills and ability to adapt to new platforms.

Responsibilities

• Leads design, development, and continuous improvement of capacity management and access education strategies with CM stakeholders.
• Creates hands-on training materials aligned with Epic scheduling workflows and access metrics.
• Maintains alignment with CM Analysts to reflect updated system functionality.
• Partners with CM Analysts to maintain build standards and reflect current guidelines.
• Integrates capacity management content into new hire training with the ACES team.
• Creates onboarding and offboarding checklists for capacity tasks.
