Job summary

Powers Health Medical Group, Office of Dr M Eng in Hobart, IN, seeks a Medical Assistant 0.8 FTE (Hours/Pay Period: 64) under physician supervision to provide patient care, assist with visits and procedures, and support front desk duties. EPIC experience and M.A.

certification are highly preferred, with CPR and TB certifications required to ensure safe, compliant patient care. Responsibilities include handling specimens when needed and maintaining accurate medical documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Accredited Medical Assistant program or CMA/RMA certification required.
• One year MA experience strongly preferred.
• EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• CPR and TB certifications required.
• Strong medical terminology and documentation skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a busy clinical setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, and/or Nurse Midwife, performs patient care services and assists with patient visits and procedures in a medical office/clinic.
• May perform front desk duties including telephone work, patient scheduling and ordering of supplies.
• Possible phlebotomy responsibilities including collection and processing of specimens such as blood, urine, pap smears and cultures.
