Job summary

University of California - San Diego Medical Centers is seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist III with expertise in Epic reporting to design and optimize analytics that improve patient care and operations. The role leverages Epic Reporting Workbench, Radar, Clarity, Tableau, SAP Crystal Reports, and SQL to deliver dashboards and data-driven insights.

The position supports Epic upgrades, go-live activities, and ongoing optimization.

Qualifications

Seven years of related healthcare analytics experience OR a Bachelor’s degree plus three years of related healthcare analytics experience.
Broad knowledge of clinical informatics areas including terminology, workflows, CDS, data integration, and data mining.
Thorough knowledge of clinical informatics software and healthcare data management in a large health system.
Detail oriented with strong time management and prioritization abilities.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize enterprise analytics solutions using Epic tools and SQL-based technologies.
Support Epic upgrades, go-live activities, and continuous optimization of reporting solutions.
Collaborate with clinicians, operational leaders, and informatics teams to deliver dashboards and actionable insights across the health system.
