Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CS/clinical or related field preferred.
• 3+ years BI, data analytics, or similar role with Epic reporting SQL.
• Epic certification training in Clarity and Caboodle required; Revenue Data Model preferred.
• Advanced SQL skills for Clarity/Caboodle; experience with BI tools.
• Experience leading projects, meeting deadlines, and stakeholder communication.

Job description

This Business Intelligence role is responsible for examining and evaluating reporting requirements for various business units across the organization. Utilizes proven knowledge of specialized reporting tools (SQL, Clarity and Caboodle databases, Power BI, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, and Epic Cogito tools including Radar dashboards, RW SQL metrics, Reporting Workbench reports and extracts, and SlicerDicer.) to develop reporting structures as needed. Proactively generates and compiles reports based on findings, including recommended improvements to, or new requirements for, business processes, operational procedures, and their corresponding reporting structures.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare, validate, schedule, and deliver reports and data extracts with a high degree of accuracy.
• Communicate reporting changes and enhancements verbally or through written documentation to management and other employees, ensuring any concerns or solutions are understood.
• Follow up with customers before, during, and after implementation.
• Define and document user requirements.
• With minimal or no supervision, facilitate meetings between business stakeholders, technical resources, and third parties to determine business requirements and technical solutions.
• Utilize Epic Cogito tools including Radar dashboards, RW SQL metrics, Reporting Workbench reports and extracts, and SlicerDicer.
• Utilize reporting tools such as Power BI, Crystal Reports, and Business Objects.

Required Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required. Emphasis on Computer Science, Clinical, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a similar role, including Epic reporting writing SQL queries and stored procedures using Clarity/Caboodle databases; experience in a hospital setting required.
• Current Epic certification training in Clarity and Caboodle data models (Epic Business Intelligence Developer track) is required. Revenue Data Model is preferred.
• Demonstrated advanced proficiency in writing SQL queries and stored procedures for Clarity and Caboodle databases.
• Proven experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, Crystal Reports, and Business Objects.
• Working knowledge of Epic Cogito analytical tools including Radar dashboards, RW SQL metrics, Reporting Workbench reports and extracts, and SlicerDicer.
• Experience in leading projects, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and meeting established deadlines.
• Ability to lead meetings between business stakeholders, technical resources, and third parties to discuss business requirements and technical solutions.
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
