Job summary

UVA Health in Manassas, VA is seeking a detail-oriented, non-exempt Referral & EPIC support specialist to assist in processing referrals and Dimensions-related tasks within our community hospital setting.

The role requires proficient medical office software knowledge, CPT/ICD-9-CM coding familiarity, and excellent communication while handling confidential patient information. On-site role with a base hourly range of $18.17–$25.30.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of experience in medical office setting.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9-CM coding.
• Proficient in medical office software including EPIC.
• Excellent verbal communication and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage changing priorities.
• Strong organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Process referrals and perform Dimensions super-user functions, including practice support with EPIC.
• Manage miscellaneous work queues and support patient scheduling and billing processes.
