Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking an experienced JPA Epic Implementation Manager to lead end-to-end Epic projects with analysts and teams. Hybrid work arrangement combines onsite Towne Centre Drive and remote work to support complex implementations.

You will develop project plans, identify risks early, ensure quality under PHSO-PACC methodologies, and manage projects post‑go-live, aligning with campus IT and healthcare goals.

Qualifications

• Nine years of related experience or a Bachelor’s degree plus five years of related experience/training.
• Basic knowledge of project management principles.
• Ability to assess IT needs for campus/medical center/OP needs for information technology products and design services.
• Working knowledge of technology-related initiatives and their organizational impact.
• Demonstrated capacity to anticipate obstacles and plan contingencies.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent writing and communication across levels of an organization.
• Experience leading a team of technology professionals.
• Advanced knowledge of computing and communications including hardware, networking, software, operations and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Create end-to-end implementation project plans for JPA entities transitioning to Epic.
• Ensure tasks meet quality standards under PHSO-PACC methodologies and timelines.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies early in the project lifecycle and resolve issues with stakeholders.
• Post go-live, manage JPA-funded Epic projects on an ongoing basis.
