University of California - San Diego Medical Centers seeks an experienced project manager to lead Epic implementation projects transitioning JPA entities. You will create end-to-end plans, manage risks, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
After go-live, the role continues to manage JPA-funded Epic projects, requiring strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in a hybrid work environment with some on-site Towne Centre Drive work.

This role will work with Epic analysts and project team members to create end-to-end implementation project plans for JPA entities transitioning to Epic. The incumbent will ensure tasks are completed to the quality standards established under PHSO-PACC methodologies and in a timely manner, with clear ownership and accountability at every stage. This role will identify implementation risks and mitigation strategies early in the project lifecycle, and resolve issues using appropriate techniques - engaging project team members, external customers, and internal and external leadership as needed - with timely resolution and reliable follow-through. Following the initial go-live, this role will continue to manage JPA-funded Epic projects on an ongoing basis.
Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus five (5) years of related experience/training. Related experience: EMR implementation experience and extensive experience implementing Epic for Connect affiliates (Epic Community connect) or entities external to UC San Diego Health.
Requires basic knowledge of project management principles, theories, and concepts.
Requires ability to assess campus, medical center or Office of the President needs for information technology products and design services to meet those needs.
Working knowledge of technology-related initiatives and an understanding of impact to the organization of such initiatives.

Extensive (5 years or more) Epic community connect implementation experience.
PMP certification.
Epic certifications.

Annual Full Pay Range: $111,300 - $211,100 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $53.30 - $101.10
