Job summary

UC San Diego Health seeks an experienced Epic project manager to lead end-to-end implementation plans for JPA entities migrating to Epic. You will manage risks, coordinate with Epic analysts and project teams, and ensure timely, quality delivery under PHSO-PACC methodologies.

The role includes ongoing management of JPA-funded Epic projects after go-live, with a hybrid schedule combining onsite Towne Centre Drive work and remote work.

Qualifications

• Nine years of related experience, or a Bachelor’s degree plus five years in related work.
• Basic knowledge of project management principles.
• Ability to assess IT needs for campus/medical center or Office of the President.
• Understanding of technology initiatives and their impact on the organization.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Experience leading a technology team.
• Ability to anticipate obstacles and plan contingencies.
• Proven leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create end-to-end implementation project plans for JPA entities transitioning to Epic.
• Manage JPA-funded Epic projects post go-live.
• Identify risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with Epic analysts, project teams, customers, and leadership to resolve issues.
• Ensure timely delivery with clear ownership and accountability.
