Job summary

The University of Toledo seeks an Epic Principal Trainer-Ambulatory Systems to lead education and training programs for end users, super users, and trainers within the Ambulatory Systems domain. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive education through structured programs and hands-on training to ensure system proficiency and operational excellence.

The candidate will have hands-on experience with Epic Ambulatory, and a strong background in clinical/operational workflows in ambulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Science or related field required; equivalent healthcare IT/ambulatory ops experience considered.
• 3–5 years in healthcare, ambulatory clinical settings, population health or health information management.
• Hands-on experience with Epic Ambulatory systems and understanding of clinical/operational workflows in ambulatory care.

Job Description

This role will be responsible for leading training initiatives for end users, super users, and trainers within the Ambulatory Systems domain. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive education through structured programs and hands-on training to ensure system proficiency and operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/experience/licensing:

• A bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Health InformationManagement, or a related field with a focus on clinical oroperational healthcare workflows is required. Equivalentprofessional experience in healthcare IT or ambulatory operationsmay also be considered.
• Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience in healthcare,specifically in ambulatory clinical settings, population health orhealth information management.
• Hands on experience working with Epic Ambulatory systems, and asolid understanding of clinical and operational workflows inambulatory care are essential.

Required Certifications:

• EpicCare Ambulatory Certification
• Healthy Planet Certification (Preferred)
• Compass Rose Certification (Preferred)
• Training Environment Development (TED) 105: Technical FoundationsCertification
• TED 300: Training Environment Configuration Certification

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Epic Principal Trainer with expertise inEpicCare Ambulatory training design with population health systemsand implementation.
• Healthy Planet and Compass Rose certifications arepreferred.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently, taking fullresponsibility for all phases of training development andexecution.
• Strong background in adult education, with specific expertise inambulatory care, operational workflows and population healthsystems.
