Job summary

University of Toledo is seeking a seasoned EPIC Principal Trainer-Ambulatory Systems to design and deliver comprehensive training for Ambulatory Systems across the organization. The role combines structured education with hands-on sessions for end users, trainers, and super users, ensuring system proficiency and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Epic Ambulatory experience, healthcare domain knowledge, and certifications such as EpicCare Ambulatory, TED 105, and TED 300.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Epic Ambulatory experience and strong clinical/operational workflow knowledge.
• 3-5 years healthcare experience in ambulatory care, population health, or health information management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Health Information Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Holds or earns EpicCare Ambulatory Certification.
• Completes TED 105 and TED 300 training-environment certifications.
• Prefers Healthy Planet and Compass Rose certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead training initiatives for end users, super users, and trainers across Ambulatory Systems.
• Deliver structured programs and hands‑on training to build system proficiency.
• Own all phases of training development and execution independently.
• Bring a strong adult-education background to ambulatory care and population health topics.
