Job summary

University Health is seeking an Epic Principal Trainer in San Antonio to lead Epic education, manage training projects, and provide guidance on implementation and upgrades.

The role requires strong communication, project management, and the ability to translate workflows into clear training content for staff across the healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field is required or preferred.
• Epic application systems experience is preferred but not required.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities are essential.
• Ability to translate clinical workflows into training content.

Responsibilities

• Provides educational expertise and direction in Epic education.
• Delivers live or WebEx training for staff on new upgrades and refreshers.
• Maintains educational materials for assigned Epic applications.

General Responsibilities:

• Provides educational expertise, project management, technical guidance and direction in the development of Epic education.
• Provides live or Webex new hire, upgrade and refresher training to staff.
• Maintains educational materials for assigned application(s).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or other work related field
• Experience in Epic application systems and healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships that foster optimal quality teamwork and education.
• Strong organizational skills in managing multiple priorities.
• Understanding and interpreting clinical and non-clinical workflows, processes, and terminology in order to translate information into educationally sound training content.
• Will be required to successfully pass the Epic pre-assessment test.
