Job summary

UT Health San Antonio seeks a Clinical Information Systems Principal Trainer-Associate to champion Epic training for providers and staff across the enterprise.

The role focuses on delivering end-user education, developing training materials, testing environments, and providing daily application support. You will collaborate with clinical teams, rounds, and innovation sprints to promote best practices and system adoption.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health information management in a medical/health system setting.
• Adult learning principles and competency-based education.
• Ability to design and test end-user tools and workflows.
• Ability to conduct training sessions in classrooms and one-on-one.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-user training for Epic and related technologies.
• Develop and maintain training materials and documentation.
• Provide daily support through triage or virtual chat.
• Test and maintain the training environment and materials.
• Deliver ongoing training and participate in clinic rounds and sprints.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in clinical information systems.
