Job summary
Fairview Health Services is seeking a Pharmacy-IS liaison to coordinate between IS, Pharmacy Services, and Epic applications for medication management within Fairview's inpatient system. You will help design, implement, and maintain the electronic medication orders process in EPIC and related systems.
The role requires a Pharm.D. with MN licensure, and experience with EPIC, Medispan, and automated dispensing systems.
Qualifications
- Pharm.D. degree required and MN pharmacist license.
- Minimum 2 years as an inpatient pharmacist or 4 years ambulatory experience when applicable.
- Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy processes, clinical drug therapy, and customer relations.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support EPIC for medication management initiatives.
- Coordinate with user representatives to develop task plans and schedules; perform system testing.
- Monitor system performance and coordinate vendor support; document issues and resolutions.
- Develop and participate in training plans and curricula for end users.
- Serve as first point of contact for pharmacy information system issues; participate in on-call rotations.
- Deliver care that accounts for patient development level and cultural differences.
