Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, MN seeks a Pharmacist Informaticist to lead clinical informatics, data analytics, and medication-use optimization across our EPIC Community Connect program. The role blends clinical practice with information systems to enhance patient care and cost-effective medication use.

Responsibilities include collaboration with clinicians and IS teams, building decision support tools, and supporting EHR-related projects across care sites. Hybrid work option is available.

Qualifications

• Accredited School of Pharmacy degree.
• PGY-2 in pharmacy informatics or equivalent experience.
• Licensed pharmacist by state boards Minnesota/Wisconsin/North Dakota.

Responsibilities

• Acts as primary pharmacy liaison with community connect sites.
• Support and maintain relationship and care quality for Essentia Health and the EPIC Community Connect program.
• Collaborates with clinicians, leadership, pharmacy, community connect sites, and vendors to ensure quality patient care and effective system operations.
• Support clinical and operational medication-related EHR needs across all care sites.
• Maintain a clinical practice on-site at an Essentia Health location.
• Develop, build, test, and implement medication-related clinical decision support tools within the EHR.
• Contribute to guideline development, medication utilization reviews, and other medication processes.
• Assist with quality assurance reviews and IS projects within EHR.
