Job summary

University Health is seeking an Epic OpTime Analyst to support the technology and workflows that keep Operating Rooms running efficiently and safely.

You’ll work with surgical services, clinical teams, operational leaders and IT partners to design, build, test and optimize Epic OpTime functionality for perioperative operations. This role emphasizes problem-solving to improve workflows and patient care through technology.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field; relevant work experience may substitute.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and clinical teams.
Epic pre-assessment test completion is required.

Responsibilities

Serve as a primary technical resource for Epic OpTime functionality and OR-related workflows.
Partner with clinical and operational teams to translate workflow requirements into Epic solutions.
Design, build, configure and test Epic system functionality to meet end-user needs.
Analyze existing OR workflows to improve efficiency, usability and system performance.
Provide technical guidance for implementation, enhancement and operation of Epic.
Troubleshoot application and workflow issues and develop effective solutions.
Coordinate and manage complex system tasks, projects, testing and implementation activities.
Support system upgrades and new functionality.
Develop strong relationships with OR staff, clinicians, leadership and IT teams.
Help ensure Epic solutions support efficient, reliable, and patient-centered surgical operations.
