Job summary

The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) IT is seeking an Epic Principal Trainer - Master Training Environment (MST) Build Specialist to lead training development, delivery, and maintenance for Epic clinical systems. You will design curricula, manuals, and e-learning modules, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure effective training across patient care workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field is required or strongly preferred.
• EpicCare Ambulatory Certifications preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant healthcare experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with physician practices' workflows, hospital outpatient departments, and patient experiences.
• Understanding of integration points: scheduling, lab, radiology, billing, inpatient clinical.
• Familiarity with case or care management workflows and wellness programs.
• Familiarity with PQRS, ACOs/MSSP, MU concepts preferred.
• Familiarity with health plan concepts/workflows preferred.
• Extensive understanding of the Epic Master Training Environment build preferred.
• Adult education experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Participates in pre-production simulations, workflow integration, testing and validation of system functionality.
• Provides end-user training on clinical system applications supported by IT Training.
• Develops training project plans aligned with IT project timelines to meet deadlines.
• Creates lesson plans, curriculum design, training manuals, exercises and online modules for staff roles.
• Participates in application testing, simulations and go-live activities including production.
• Collaborates with analysts on changes and new features to plan training strategies.
• Reviews stakeholder interactions to ensure training meets business/clinical needs.
• Maintains knowledge of University policies and procedures and safeguards assets.
