Job summary

Sentara Health seeks a Senior IT Specialty Analyst to support Epic applications across Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and Access. You will evaluate business and clinical needs, recommend solutions, and drive optimization and workflow improvements.

The role covers build/config, upgrades, testing, incident/change management, and releases. You’ll collaborate with teams, may lead projects, and guide junior staff, with Epic certification preferred or required for specific positions.

Qualifications

• Experience with Epic reporting tools, including Reporting Workbench, Radar dashboards, and SlicerDicer self-service reporting.
• 7+ years of experience with Epic reporting tools.
• Programming experience with SQL, SSIS, R, Python, or similar tools.
• Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation, and self-management.
• Curious and quick to learn, with strong exploratory analysis skills and pride in the quality of work.
• Enjoys collaborating with others to find solutions to their questions.
• Familiarity with clinical terminology or workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support, maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of Epic applications across Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and Access areas.
• Perform build/configuration, upgrades, testing, incidents and change management, and software release implementations.
• Lead smaller projects or components of larger initiatives; mentor less-experienced teammates.
