Job summary

The Ohio Department of Behavioral Health — Heartland Behavioral Healthcare in Massillon, OH, is seeking an Epic HIM Principal Trainer. You will maintain Epic HIM certification and lead training program development, delivery, and continuous improvement across the organization.

You will support end users, collaborate with Epic teams and hospital staff, ensure effective training environments, and drive system utilization and training excellence.

Qualifications

• Maintain Epic HIM Principal Trainer certification, including Training Environment Build certification.
• Complete ongoing Epic HIM continuing education requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and update training materials for Epic HIM training tracks in alignment with SOPs and Epic Training Team best practices.
• Revise training content based on system build changes, workflow updates, and identified training needs.
• Lead and support training sessions for end users, Credentialed Trainers, and Super Users.

Responsibilities

• Training Program Development & Delivery: Maintain certification and lead training for HIM tracks.
• Training Quality & Continuous Improvement: Participate in QA and recommend improvements.
• System Support & Optimization: Provide technical support and ensure system usability.
• Collaboration & Communication: Liaise between users and Epic team; coordinate across sites.
• Training Environment & System Testing: Design, build, and test Epic training environments.
