Job summary

Washington State Department of Corrections is seeking a Technical Systems Manager to oversee the Epic EHR implementation and related healthcare technology infrastructure. The role requires coordinating integrated systems, security, and interoperability across HL7/FHIR standards within a hybrid/telework model available anywhere in Washington.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in modern EHR technical environments as super user/analyst/developer or similar role.
• Strong experience managing integrations via HL7, X12, CCD, FHIR, APIs, or other healthcare standards.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical projects or teams through an Epic implementation or major upgrades.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and direct all technical workstreams for the Epic implementation.
• Manage a team of application analysts and technical experts to ensure task completion.
• Coordinate Epic with external systems like labs, pharmacy, HIEs, claims processors, and data warehouses.
• Lead configuration and management of user roles, templates, and security in Epic.
