Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking an EHR Systems Analyst to support the Clinical Access Revenue System by serving as a liaison between end users and the EHR team. The role requires deep Epic knowledge and collaboration with clinical and business stakeholders to ensure the system meets operational needs.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years in clinical or healthcare IT; Epic certification within 180 days is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of clinical, healthcare IT, or relevant business experience.
• May substitute required education with years of related experience.
• Preferred: 3+ years in hospital billing/claims, strong analytical skills, excellent communication, self-starter mindset, and project management experience.
• Ability to quickly gain Epic certification and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between end users and the EHR team.
• Develop and maintain Epic system knowledge aligned with operational needs.
• Analyze workflows, support optimization, and contribute to design, implementation, and ongoing Epic support.
• Provide functional and technical expertise to optimize Epic content and configurations.
• Support user requests, testing, and documentation for enhancements.
