Job summary

Shepherd Center is seeking an experienced Epic Application Manager to lead a clinical and ancillary applications team supporting Epic and related healthcare systems. This player-coach role balances team management with hands-on build and production support to optimize the EHR environment.

The ideal candidate has Epic certifications, 3+ years of healthcare IT experience, and strong leadership skills used to partner with operations, clinical leaders, and vendors to drive system effectiveness.

Qualifications

Active Epic certification in at least one Epic application is required.
Minimum of three years of progressive healthcare IT/Epic experience; five+ years preferred.
Experience functioning as an Epic senior analyst or application lead is required.

Responsibilities

Lead the Epic Clinical/Ancillary Applications team, fostering a positive and accountable work environment.
Perform / oversee complex Epic build, configuration, validation, testing, troubleshooting, optimization, and maintenance.
Lead cross-functional Epic projects, upgrades, and optimization efforts across the organization.
Foster collaboration with clinical leaders, ancillary departments, analysts, and vendors to improve system effectiveness.
Maintain documentation and provide Tier 2 on-call support; ensure customer service aligned with Shepherd Center's mission.
