The position is full-time, on-site, with a shift from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and a total FTE between 0.9 and 1.0.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Basic computer skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Respect for patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Able to use EPIC efficiently and accurately.
• Able to sit for several hours and stay professional under pressure.
• Flexible to change and travel to offsite locations as needed.
• Must pass EPIC scheduling test within 45 days of training (3 attempts).

Responsibilities

• Handle clinic duties including mail, faxes, filing and supplies.
• Access EPIC to retrieve referrals and patient documentation.
• Maintain and retrieve medical records per HIM and office protocol.
• Answer calls, take concise messages for clinical staff.
• Schedule, cancel and reschedule patient appointments and send reminders.
• Coordinate with pre-registration for insurance verification.
• Disseminate patient letters and correspondence from EPIC.
• Collaborate with the medical practice team and address issues.
