Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of office functions including retrieval and distribution of mail, faxes, filing, stocking supplies, and preparation of clinic correspondence.
• Accesses EPIC to retrieve referrals, orders and other documentation; assists patients with Release of Information requests.
• Maintains and retrieves medical records per HIM and office protocol.
• Addresses patient calls efficiently and courteously; takes concise messages for clinical staff.
• Schedules, cancels and/or reschedules patient appointments and sends reminder information.
• Transfers patients to pre-registration for insurance verification.
• Prepares and disseminates patient letters from EPIC.
• Problem-solves issues by seeking appropriate resources.
• Works collaboratively as part of the medical practice team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
