RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Charge Capture Specialist for Emergency Medicine Associates in Belleville, NJ. You will serve as a strategic resource for Epic charge capture and documentation workflows across Physician Services, using data to identify trends and improve charge accuracy and efficiency.

A typical day includes analyzing charge capture processes, identifying systemic issues in Haiku/Canto and billing workflows, designing standardized workflows, and partnering with Revenue Integrity,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, HIM, or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of revenue cycle, charge capture, or revenue integrity in an Epic environment required.
• Epic Professional Billing certification strongly preferred; CPC/CCS a plus.
• Master's degree and strong data analytics/workflow optimization preferred.
• Excel proficiency essential.

Responsabilités

• Analyze charge capture and documentation workflows using error trends and reports.
• Identify systemic issues and high-impact error trends in Haiku/Canto and billing workflows.
• Design standardized charge capture workflows to improve accuracy and timeliness.
• Partner with Revenue Integrity, IT, and Finance to reconcile charges across documentation, Epic entry, and billing systems.
• Develop and deliver targeted training for physicians and staff on Epic documentation and charge capture.
• Create job aids and real-time support tools to promote error prevention.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and standardization.
• Collaborate with leaders to integrate best practices into daily workflows and ensure compliance.
• Serve as SME for revenue integrity, documentation compliance, and charge reconciliation initiatives.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership and set education/process improvement strategies.
