Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a seasoned medical coder to accurately evaluate coding edits in Epic WQs and assign CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 codes and modifiers. This role requires extensive experience with professional fee coding and Epic environments.

You will review medical records, ensure billing accuracy, and communicate denial trends to coding leadership. The position offers a stable, full-time role at our Lake Park facility in Utah and involves collaboration with providers and coding leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum five years of professional fee coding experience with at least three years in the assigned specialty.
• CPC or CCS-P credential required; Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Navigate Epic EMR and work queues to evaluate edits.
• Review documentation and assign CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 codes and modifiers.
• Communicate coding trends and education needs to leadership.
• Support education and QA within the department.
• Ensure compliance with coding regulations.
