Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking an Epic Analyst 2 focused on Beacon and Ambulatory workflows to support the Epic Beacon application suite across the organization. The role emphasizes oncology and infusion-related projects, production support, and system enhancements.

Candidates should hold EpicCare Ambulatory and Epic Beacon certifications; Prelude and Cadence are preferred. A bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of healthcare IT experience are expected, with a 90-day certification target after hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a recognized college or university with major coursework in computer science, information technology, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in clinical, business, or healthcare operations, or 5 years if no degree.
• Epic certification for the assigned area must be obtained within 90 days of training completion if not pre-certified.
• Working knowledge of assigned operational department areas.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills; ability to interact across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Support and design, build, validate, maintain, and provide ongoing support for Epic Beacon and related workflows across Beacon and Ambulatory modules.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary workgroups; maintain positive relationships with clinical, financial, Epic partners, and staff.
• Mentor and share methods and processes with other analysts; develop advanced knowledge of system capabilities and educate users.
• Attend routine meetings with department heads or superusers to identify, document, and prioritize needs.
