Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester is seeking a Manager IS Applications Training to lead the Epic training team across ambulatory and inpatient settings. You will oversee curriculum development, delivery and training environments, coordinating schedules and onboarding new caregivers.

The role requires five years of healthcare IT training experience, Epic certifications, and strong leadership, communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Five years of healthcare IT or adult learning experience including two years in training module development.
• Experience coaching or leading trainers and strong leadership abilities.
• Expertise in adult learning theory and instructional design.
• Strong facilitation, writing, communication and project management skills.
• Excellent stand-up presentation skills and collaboration with clinical staff.
• Proficiency with learning tools such as Workday and Captivate.
• Ability to interact with physicians, staff and system leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage IS Applications Training team to execute training strategy.
• Develop, deploy and maintain Epic training curriculum and environments.
• Coordinate training schedules and onboarding for new caregivers in ambulatory and inpatient settings.
• Collaborate with operations to identify training enhancements and workflow changes.
• Oversee LMS deployment and ensure training attendance and quality.
• Build and maintain master training environments and training data.
• Hire, onboard and evaluate training staff; provide coaching and development.
• Communicate training requirements to leadership and drive continuous improvement.
