Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Corporate is seeking an Application Coordinator to design, build, test, and support Epic clinical and revenue cycle applications. You will maintain Epic certifications, understand clinical workflows, and provide on-call Tier III support, collaborating across disciplines to implement future-state workflows.

Required are a Bachelor's degree or clinical licensure or 4+ years in related fields, plus 3 years IT/healthcare experience with EMR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or current clinical licensure in nursing, radiology, pharmacy, respiratory or related field is required.
• In lieu of degree or licensure, four (4) years of experience in business administration, information technology or science, healthcare or related field required.
• 3 years of healthcare or IT experience to include one (1) year of EMR application experience required.
• In lieu of degree or licensure, a total of seven (7) years of experience required.
• 1 year working directly with Epic applications in a clinical or IS field relevant to the position is preferred.
• Current Epic certification is or active Epic proficiency achieved with a score of 90 required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of clinical and/or revenue cycle applications.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Epic software functionality and clinical or revenue cycle workflows.
• Provide tier III on-call support for Epic clinical and/or revenue cycle applications (24/7).
• Implement configuration changes to the Epic system as approved by the appropriate committee.
• Collaborate with clinical/financial department representatives to design future-state workflows.
• Establish and maintain relationships with Piedmont coworkers, physicians, and others who use the Epic suite.
