Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Corporate is seeking an Application Coordinator to design, build, test, validate, and support clinical and revenue cycle applications, focusing on Epic systems. You will obtain Epic certification and stay up to date with software functionality and workflows, with on-call coverage for tier III support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or current clinical licensure in nursing, radiology, pharmacy, respiratory or related field.
• Four (4) years of experience in business administration, information technology or healthcare, if no degree or licensure.
• Three (3) years of healthcare or IT experience including one (1) year of EMR application experience.
• Epic certification is required or active Epic proficiency with a score of 90; one year working with Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of clinical and/or revenue cycle applications.
• Obtain Epic certification and maintain knowledge of software functionality and workflows.
• Be on-call 24/7 for tier III support of Epic applications.
• Implement configuration changes to the Epic system as approved by the committee.
• Collaborate with clinical/financial representatives to design future-state workflows and build systems.
• Work across interdisciplinary groups and maintain relationships with Piedmont co-workers and physicians.
