Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an experienced Epic Applications Analyst to join the Revenue Cycle Applications team. You will map, analyze, and optimize clinical and business processes within Epic, prepare requirements and design specs, and coordinate configurations and testing to ensure workflows meet patient care and billing needs.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in IT or clinical settings, EPIC certifications, strong communication, and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field.
• Typically requires 3 years in an IT or clinical environment with business process mapping, analysis, defining business and user requirements, acceptance testing and documentation experiences.
• Experience with Epic and other Healthcare applications.
• Project management experience with ability to use project management software.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, balance multiple tasks, be detail oriented, set priorities and accomplish assignments with excellent customer service.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; translate user requirements into system specifications.

Responsibilities

• Identify, map, measure, analyze and improve clinical and business processes for Epic applications.
• Prepare documentation for business requirements using diagrams and data models.
• Translate user requirements into functional/technical design specifications and prioritize requirements.
• Perform system configuration to meet business requirements.
• Develop and execute test plans and scripts; conduct UAT and document outcomes.
• Provide training and support materials for end-users.
