Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Epic Applications Analyst to collaborate with users and leadership on Epic workflow procedures. The role includes training, testing, and documenting changes while ensuring strong communication with stakeholders.

You will support Epic applications, assist with requirements, and maintain documentation. A Bachelor’s in CS or related field and 1 year of relevant experience are required. On-site role with standard hours and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or related field.
  • Typically requires 1 year of experience in automated laboratory and/or business systems.
  • Basic knowledge of computer operating platforms, applications software, and network software.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) or similar products and basic knowledge of large-scale automated systems.

Responsibilities

  • Works with users and leadership to develop and/or modify procedures due to workflow changes related to Epic applications; explains functioning of Epic applications to users.
  • Assists users with using full functionality of the applications and prepares input for requirements definitions.
  • Documents current workflows, specifications, and procedures; completes change and quality control documentation.
  • Participates in testing, user training and results evaluation; tracks projects for Epic areas and informs management of progress.
  • Maintains product documentation and communicates project status and upgrades to clinic users.
