Job summary

Devfi seeks an Epic-certified behavioural health analyst assigned to HIT BHRS for Project Mosaic, reporting to the HIT BHRS Manager and collaborating with the CTG lead.

The role covers full BHRS behavioural health build across outpatient, crisis, residential, inpatient and SUD programs, including documentation, assessments and treatment planning, and support for training, go-live and command center.

Qualifications

• Epic certification in ClinDoc and Ambulatory; behavioural health accreditation preferred.
• Five or more years as an Epic application analyst.
• Experience across multiple behavioural health settings (outpatient, crisis, residential, inpatient or SUD).

Responsibilities

• Build navigators, SmartForms, flowsheets, note templates and SmartTexts for BHRS crosswalk and Epic foundation.
• Write and execute test scripts; log and resolve defects; triage production tickets for live BHRS departments.

Job description

Epic-certified behavioural health analyst assigned to HIT BHRS for Project Mosaic, reporting to the HIT BHRS Manager and working with the CTG lead.

Scope is the full BHRS behavioural health build across outpatient, crisis, residential, inpatient and SUD programs: documentation (navigators, SmartForms, flowsheets, note templates, SmartTexts), assessments and treatment planning, episodes and facility structure, orders and referral preference lists, consent and 42 CFR Part 2 handling, presents build in workgroups, and supports training, go-live and the command center.

Examples of Duties

Build navigators, SmartForms, flowsheets, note templates and SmartTexts to the BHRS crosswalk and Epic foundation.

Write and execute test scripts; log and resolve defects. Triage and resolve production tickets for live BHRS departments.

Document build in the build tracker and Sherlock.

Present build in workgroups and support end-user training and go-live command center.

Requirements

Current Epic certification in ClinDoc, Ambulatory and a Behavioural Health accreditation preferred; at least two full-cycle Epic implementations with behavioural health build; able to work independently from assigned priorities; available full time through go-live plus 90 days.

Qualifications

Epic certification (ClinDoc, Ambulatory); behavioural health documentation and workflow build (navigators, SmartForms, flowsheets, note templates); experience across more than one setting (outpatient, crisis, residential, inpatient or SUD) preferred; testing and go-live support; county or public behavioural health experience preferred.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, information systems, nursing, behavioural health or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Five or more years as an Epic application analyst, including at least two years of behavioural health build and two completed Epic go-lives.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Knowledge of Epic clinical documentation build (navigators, SmartForms, flowsheets, note templates, SmartTexts, preference lists) and of behavioural health workflows across outpatient, crisis, residential and SUD settings.

Working knowledge of behavioural health regulatory requirements, including 42 CFR Part 2 and California Medi-Cal behavioural health documentation and billing.

Skill in translating clinical and operational requirements into build, writing and executing test scripts, and troubleshooting production issues.

Ability to work independently from assigned priorities, communicate clearly with clinicians, QM and leadership, document work so others can pick it up, and support end users through training and go-live.
