Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Education, Informatics, Healthcare, or related field.
• 2–3 years Epic experience in ambulatory settings (Epic trainer, system analyst, or informatics analyst).
• Prior classroom instruction or adult education/training experience desired.
• Familiarity with ambulatory workflows including scheduling, registration, clinical documentation, ordering, and billing.
• Must complete Epic Credentialing process, including proficiency testing and teach-backs.
• Ongoing participation in credential maintenance and version updates required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom, virtual, and one-on-one training sessions for Epic Ambulatory and related workflows.
• Support physicians and staff with Epic personalization tools (SmartTools, lists, order panels, In Basket).
• Provide training during upgrades and optimizations.
• Collaborate with Principal Trainers and Analysts to maintain lesson plans and tip sheets.
• Ensure materials align with standardized ambulatory workflows and compliance.
• Test training environments for accuracy before instruction.
• Review training completion reports and feedback to identify knowledge gaps.
• Track training effectiveness and adoption progress; recommend improvements.
• Partner with leaders to design targeted refresher training or workflow changes.
• Communicate effectively with staff at all levels; adapt to clinical, technical, and administrative audiences.
