Job summary

WVU Medicine is seeking an IT Training position to design, deliver, and maintain Epic Ambulatory training for clinical staff. The role collaborates with IT and clinical teams to implement new workflows, support ongoing education, and assist with system enhancements across WVU Medicine facilities.

The role requires a foundations in computer science/IT and experience with healthcare IT; travel within the WVU Medicine Health System is expected to support implementations and training efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or two years of relevant experience.
  • Certification within 90 days may be required after training.
  • Experience in healthcare IT and clinical/workflow systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-user training on Epic Ambulatory and related systems.
  • Assist in system maintenance, testing, and basic reporting.
  • Collaborate with clinical and IT teams to implement new workflows.
  • Support data import/export and user security under supervision.
  • Help plan and coordinate IT projects and training sessions.
