Job summary

The AES Corporation is seeking an EPC Project Manager in the United States to oversee high‑impact photovoltaic solar and energy storage projects through development, construction, commissioning, and turnover to Operations. The role requires managing scope, budgets, schedules, and interfaces with EPCs and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional experience in a construction project management role; renewable energy experience preferred.
• Familiarity with photovoltaic solar design and technical standards; civil/structural knowledge.
• Experience in distributed generation or utility-scale PV solar project construction; energy storage preferred.
• PMI PMP certification preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Excel, CPM scheduling and MS Project/Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Define RFPs and scope of work for 3rd party EPC firms; participate in EPC selection and contract negotiation.
• Conduct due diligence on potential solar sites and evaluate site suitability.
• Act as Owner’s Representative for EPC contract management on PV solar and energy storage projects in the US.
• Review and manage EPC contractor schedules, budgets, scope, subcontractors, and EHS plans.
• Coordinate utility interconnection processes and related documentation.
• Engage with landowners, authorities, customers, contractors and suppliers.
• Assist permitting and jurisdictional approvals for construction.
• Coordinate with EPCs and vendors to meet contract terms and delivery milestones.
• Lead turnover from Construction to Asset Operations; ensure smooth handover.
• Develop internal operating policies, standards and procedures.
