Job summary

AES Clean Energy is seeking an experienced EPC Project Manager to oversee photovoltaic solar and energy storage projects from development through turnover to Operations. The role reports to the Director of Project Management and requires managing high-impact projects across the US, with travel up to 30%.

You will define scopes, lead EPC selection and contracts, coordinate with utilities and landowners, and manage internal teams to deliver on time, within budget, and to the highest safety

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction project management; renewable energy experience preferred.
• Experience in distributed generation or utility-scale PV solar and energy storage.
• Familiarity with NEC 690 and NFPA 1 preferred.
• PMP certification preferred; willing to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Define RFPs and scopes for 3rd party EPC firms.
• Perform due diligence on solar sites and reports.
• Act as Owner's Representative for EPC contracts.
• Review EPC schedules, budgets, and permits.
• Coordinate interconnection processes with utilities.
• Engage stakeholders and represent the company.
• Support permitting and approvals.
• Coordinate with EPCs and vendors for deliverables.
• Oversee internal project team and EPC contractor outputs.
• Ensure safety and quality through site inspections.
• Lead project status meetings with management and lenders.
• Manage document control and project turnover to Asset Management.
• Assist development of internal policies.
