Job summary

AMERICAN ELECTRIC POWER is seeking a Project Manager to lead EPC/CCGT projects in a matrix environment, guiding planning, execution, monitoring and closeout. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, foster continuous improvement, and drive value while ensuring Zero Harm safety practices.

The role covers multiple locations including OH, TX, and corporate expectations require a degree in a related field and several years of PM experience; PMP is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and several years of project management experience.
• Experience planning, organizing, directing and coordinating project activities.
• Knowledge of project management principles (Waterfall, Agile) and safety/process standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate assigned project activities.
• Coordinate administrative tasks and support the lead project manager.
• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and staff; communicate status to stakeholders.
• Lead planning meetings and provide written/oral reports.
• Coach team members and manage procurement for outside resources.
• Ensure safety and compliance with AEP standards; travel as needed.
