Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking a Project Manager to lead EPC and CCGT projects in its Texas Hallsville area and other service territories. The role entails planning, directing, and coordinating project activities in a matrix environment with emphasis on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Success requires a related degree and several years of experience in project management, construction, or IT systems, with PMP preferred.

Qualifications

Experience in outage management, project controls, and major construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate project activities in a matrix environment.
Develop, review and coordinate project plans, schedules, budgets, tools and staff.
Lead planning meetings, provide status updates, and deliver clear reports.
Coach team members and manage procurement plans and vendor contracts.
Ensure safety, quality, and alignment with company standards.
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to maximize customer satisfaction.
Support continuous improvement and risk management across projects.
Travel up to 25% or as required across AEP sites.
