Job summary

American Electric Power is seeking a Project Manager to lead EPC and CCGT project efforts within a matrix organization, ensuring safe, efficient delivery and stakeholder transparency. You will plan, execute, monitor and close projects, manage budgets and schedules, and mentor staff while coordinating with customers, vendors, regulators and internal teams.

This on‑site role covers OH/Columbus and KY locations with travel.

Qualifications

• PMP certification is preferred for senior PM roles.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with relevant experience in project management.
• Valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and supervise project and outage activities.
• Apply Waterfall or Agile project management methods as appropriate.
• Ensure a safe working environment aligned with Zero Harm.
• Develop procurement plans and manage contracts with vendors.
• Lead planning meetings and stakeholder presentations.
