Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Manager to own EPC contractor relationships within the Gas Generation program. You will drive alignment across PMO, Supply Chain, Legal, and Construction teams to ensure delivery excellence across a multi-billion-dollar portfolio.

You will lead risk management, budgeting, and performance governance while mentoring project managers and controls staff. This hybrid role emphasizes collaboration and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years related experience; in lieu of a Bachelor’s, 11 years of experience with HS/GED.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related field.
• MBA, Master's, PMP, PE, AACE, or other relevant professional certification.
• Familiarity with utility operations, project controls, commercial management, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of accountability for EPC contractor relationships within the Gas Generation Program.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with EPC partners and internal stakeholders to support project execution.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Legal, Project Management, Construction, and Project Controls on contractor performance and continuous improvement.
• Monitor EPC performance, identify trends, risks, and lessons learned for better execution.
• Lead efforts to address systemic issues affecting multiple projects or workstreams.
• Support project teams through lifecycle, guiding commercial and execution challenges.
• Coordinate construction and project performance reporting across stakeholders for accuracy and timeliness.
• Support monthly program reporting, executive dashboards, and governance materials for senior leadership.
• Facilitate cross-functional reviews on contractor performance and program health.
