Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Construction Project Manager to support the EPC Project Manager or Program Manager from pre-construction through warranty. The role focuses on construction projects for Power Transmission, Power Distribution and Industrial Power Generation, with emphasis on safety, schedule, and cost controls.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, interface with clients on proposals, manage contracts and project documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, construction management, engineering, program management or related field.
• Experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• Capable of executing EPC/Program projects and achieving certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work overtime on short notice.
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software.
• Collaborative work with owners, contractors, and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety programs and promote safety performance of project team members and subcontractors.
• Provide leadership across safety, quality, engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls.
• Develop and manage client relationships for proposals and project items.
• Lead risk reviews and consult with Legal as required.
• Review and execute prime contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Implement the Project Execution Plan including QA, safety, and procurement plans.
• Analyze and communicate project status, risks, schedule and costs to stakeholders.
• Oversee project turnover, warranty, and closeout processes.
