Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Major Capital Project Specialist to lead EPC contract sourcing for large-scale capital projects and to align strategies with stakeholder priorities across multiple states.

You will develop bid requirements, negotiate terms, and manage post-award performance while coaching peers and ensuring risk management of supplier relationships within the BU project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
• Requires eight years of advanced contracting or sourcing experience.
• Project management experience required.
• Expert contract knowledge, negotiation and project management skills required.
• Requires advanced expertise in sourcing and supply chain management principles.

Responsibilities

• Execute contracting and procurement strategy for large-scale capital projects and lead bid evaluations.
• Develop contract strategies and manage post-award contract management plans.
• Lead complex contract negotiations and resolve modifications or claims.
• Support BU project planning and align sourcing with category strategies.
• Manage supplier relationships and risk mitigation across projects.
