Xcel Energy is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Sourcing & Contracting Specialist, Capital Projects, to lead sourcing for large-scale EPC and construction contracts. The role emphasizes negotiating terms, managing post-award contracts, and aligning strategies with stakeholder priorities to achieve project savings.

The role requires extensive contract management experience, leadership, and the ability to coordinate with Category Management to leverage scale across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
• MBA and CPSM or other supply chain certification strongly preferred.
• Eight years of advanced contracting, sourcing, or logistics experience required.

Responsibilities

• Execute contracting and procurement strategy for large-scale capital projects, including bid events and evaluations.
• Lead the development and application of the project delivery contracting strategy.
• Develop negotiation strategies and plans for large-scale contracts.
• Create and manage project sourcing plans and ensure milestones are tracked.
• Lead post-award contract management and supplier performance reviews.
• Provide coaching and guidance to other sourcing professionals.
