Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Sourcing & Contracting Specialist for Capital Projects in a hybrid role. You will lead contracting, procurement tactics, and risk management for major EPC projects, negotiate terms with suppliers, and guide post-award supplier performance, working with stakeholders across the organization.

Required eight years of advanced contracting/sourcing experience, plus strong project management and contract knowledge.

Qualifications

• Eight years of advanced contracting, sourcing, or logistics experience.
• Project management experience required.
• Expert contract knowledge, negotiation and project management skills.
• Requires advanced expertise in sourcing and supply chain management principles.

Responsibilities

• Execute contracting and procurement strategy for large-scale capital projects.
• Lead bid evaluations and supplier negotiations.
• Develop should-cost models and project justifications.
• Coordinate with Category Management to leverage scale for recurring purchases.
• Manage post-award contract management and supplier performance.
