Job summary

Actalent in Lexington, KY seeks a Construction Project Manager to oversee EPC, Construction Management, and Program Management projects from pre-construction through closeout. You will manage safety, quality, schedule, and costs, while building client relationships and leading field teams.

Role involves travel to project sites, collaboration with engineering teams, and mentoring junior staff in a culture-driven, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of project management experience, including 1 year in transmission and distribution (T+D).
• Proven experience as a standalone Project Manager responsible for full lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety programs and promote health performance for the project team and subcontractors.
• Oversee day-to-day construction activities and manage multiple projects.
• Lead planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and set critical objectives.
• Develop and manage client relationships, interfacing for proposals and project matters.
• Negotiate prime contracts, CM contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Manage project risk reviews and contribute to risk mitigation.
• Implement sections of the Project Execution Plan including QA, safety, staffing, and procurement.
• Coordinate staffing plans and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
• Oversee site layout, mobilization, demobilization, and permits.
• Direct RFP and bid processes and supplier evaluation.
