Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Chicago, IL seeks a Construction Coordinator to support EPC project delivery, overseeing safety, quality, schedule, and cost control while coordinating contracts, subcontracts, and field activities across multiple industries.

The role interfaces with clients and project teams to develop plans, manage procurement, and ensure documentation accuracy, contributing to successful project turnover and closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field required.
• Applicable experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
• Knowledge of document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety programs and policies; assist others with compliance.
• Assist Project team in building client relationships and interfacing on proposals and projects.
• Assist with prime/subcontractor contracts, change orders, and RFP development.
• Support development and implementation of Project Execution, Quality Assurance, Safety, and Procurement Plans.
• Coordinate jobsite setup, mobilization, and demobilization; assist with permits.
