American Electric Power is seeking a Project Manager (Mid - Principal) for NEW GENERATION (Construction Utility Projects) in Oklahoma/Columbus, OH. The role covers EPC/CCGT projects, with locations in Tulsa, OK and Columbus, OH, and expects leadership across planning, scheduling, budgeting, contracting, and stakeholder management.

You’ll drive project execution, mentor teams, manage procurement, and ensure safety and quality while delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, Computer Science, or related field with 3 years qualified experience; OR
• Associate’s degree in the same required disciplines with five (5) years of qualified experience; OR
• High School Diploma/GED with seven (7) years qualified experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate assigned project activities.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and staffing.
• Lead planning meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure safety practices and Zero Harm emphasis across activities.
• Coordinate procurement and contracting for outside services.
• Oversee project closeout and benefit realization.
