Job summary

VCU Health is seeking an Outpatient Electrophysiology Device and Arrhythmia Nurse Coordinator to support EP patients. You will coordinate care, interpret device data, and assist in clinic flow with a focus on safety and efficiency.

You will collaborate with EP Lab, Radiology, and referring providers, educate patients on medications, and arrange same-day testing while ensuring timely follow-up and access across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current Compact RN licensure in Virginia or eligible.
• Certification in cardiac nursing or electrophysiology preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience in cardiology.
• Experience in cardiology, preferably CICU or telemetry setting, ECG interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Manage care across the continuum from testing to implantation and follow-up care.
• Analyze/interpret remote transmissions from pacemakers, defibrillators, heart monitors and smart watches.
• Coordinate same-day testing and urgent prior authorizations for procedures.
• Provide education on medications for heart rate, rhythm control and anticoagulation.
• Refill cardiac medications and ensure yearly follow-up per guidelines.
• Collaborate with EP Lab, Radiology and referring providers to optimize patient flow.
