Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Test Engineer to support environmental testing for lunar/space hardware. You will plan, execute, and analyze test campaigns on development and flight hardware, and coordinate with internal customers and engineers.

The role requires a BS/MS in engineering, 2+ years of test experience, and proficiency with 3D CAD (Creo/Pro/E) and data acquisition systems. Travel up to 25% and relocation may be provided.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience, including test-specific experience.
  • Experience in thermal vacuum, acoustic, modal, or shock testing.
  • Ability to manage workload across multiple test campaigns.
  • Ability to earn trust and contribute to an inclusive culture.
  • Understanding of design fundamentals (requirements, materials, interfaces, etc.).
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD (Creo/Pro/E) and drawing creation.

Responsibilities

  • Execute an entire environmental test campaign from planning to data collection.
  • Assemble and test development and flight hardware; plan, execute, and analyze data.
  • Identify and assist in designing MGSE.
  • Lead daily test operations and coordinate with internal customers.
  • Perform root cause analysis and failure investigations.
  • Troubleshoot issues during testing and manage changes to test campaigns.
  • Communicate with Responsible Engineers through planning and execution.
  • Participate in test readiness reviews and post-test debriefs.
  • Coordinate test crews, support equipment, and configurations.
  • Enforce safety policies during test planning and operations.
