Intertek in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an Entry Level Environmental Technician to support environmental consulting tasks including asbestos and indoor air quality work. The role requires some off-shift hours, overtime, and occasional travel as needed.

Responsibilities include surveys for asbestos/lead-based paint/mold, abatement monitoring, clearance sampling, air sample analysis, and Phase I ESA, with emphasis on accurate field documentation and client communication to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required; Associates or 2-year technical degree encouraged.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Must read and understand scope of work / work plans.
• Must be able to work off shifts and overtime and willing to work out of town.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record required.

Responsabilités

• Asbestos/Lead Based Paint/Mold Surveys.
• Asbestos/Lead Based Paint/Mold Abatement Monitoring.
• Asbestos/Lead Based Paint/Mold Clearance Sampling.
• Asbestos Air Sample Analysis.
• Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA).
• Phase II/Subsurface Investigations.
• Compose and review field documentation and reports.
• Communicate with clients and regulatory agencies to keep projects moving.
• Participate in QA/QC and Safety Programs.
